Privacy and Data
The calculators run in the browser, and the numbers a reader enters are never sent to a server.
Calculators and entered numbers
The calculators on this site run in the browser. The lot size, the price and the other numbers a reader types are processed on the reader's own device and are never sent to a server, so they are not stored by the desk.
That means a reader can work through a margin or pip-value example without handing over a position size or an account detail. If a page ever needs a number to be sent somewhere, it will say so on the page before it happens.
Your rights over anything this site holds, and the steps to use them
You have the right to ask what this site holds about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. In practice, the only thing we hold is a preference cookie on your device, so the fastest way to exercise the right is to clear cookies in your browser. For anything else, you can write to the contact address on the site and ask. We will respond within a reasonable period and will not charge you for a request. We cannot delete records held by a broker; that request goes to FxPro directly.
You can withdraw consent to non-essential cookies at any time by changing your choice in the cookie notice or by clearing cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything done before you withdrew it. If you are in India, you can also raise a concern with the broker's own grievance process for data held on its side, because that data is outside our control. For this site, a request to delete a preference cookie is actioned the moment you clear it, with no waiting period.
You have the right not to be tracked for advertising on this site, and that right is met by default because no advertising tracker runs here. You also have the right to use the calculators without entering personal details, and the tools are built so that no personal detail is needed. If you believe a right has not been respected, contact us first so we can fix it. If the issue concerns a broker, the broker's regulator is the correct route, and for India that means the broker's own licensed entity and not SEBI.
The third parties that can see something when you use this site
The third parties involved are the web host that serves the pages, the broker whose site you visit after a click, and any analytics provider described in the analytics section. The host processes standard server logs, which include an IP address and the page requested, so that the site loads. The broker sees your visit only after you follow a link. We do not sell data to anyone, and we do not pass calculator inputs to a third party. If a third party is added later, this policy will name it before it goes live.
The broker is the main third party you interact with, and it is a separate business from this site. Once you are on FxPro's site, its privacy policy and cookie tools apply, not ours. FxPro Markets Ltd is the entity that serves India, and it is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA — not by SEBI. That means any complaint about how the broker handles your data goes to the broker and its regulators, not to this site. We cannot retrieve, correct or delete records that the broker holds about you.
The web host and any analytics provider are processors, which means they handle data on our instructions and not for their own marketing. They do not receive the numbers you type into the calculators, because those numbers never leave your browser. The host may keep access logs for security and troubleshooting, and those logs are not used to profile readers. We do not use a third-party advertising network, so no ad exchange sees your visit. The full list of third parties is short and is limited to what the site needs to function.
How long each kind of data is kept and the action that removes it
A preference cookie stays on your device until it expires or you clear it, and clearing cookies is the action that removes it immediately. A session cookie is removed when you close the browser. Server logs held by the web host are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, after which they are deleted or overwritten. We do not keep a separate database of reader activity, so there is no long-term store to delete beyond those logs. Calculator inputs are never stored, so there is nothing to expire.
The numbers you type into the gold calculators are kept only in the browser's memory for the current visit and are removed when you close the tab or refresh the page. Nothing is written to a server, so there is no retention period to state for calculator inputs. If you bookmark a result or copy it into another document, that copy is under your control and outside this policy. The absence of storage is deliberate: it means a margin figure for a 0.10-lot position at 1:200 is not logged anywhere by us.
Affiliate attribution data is held by the broker, not by this site, so its retention period is set by the broker's policy and not by ours. We do not keep a list of who clicked which link. If you want broker-held attribution data removed, the request goes to FxPro under its own privacy terms. On this site, the only data with a lifetime is the preference cookie, and you can end that lifetime at any time by clearing cookies in your browser settings. No backup of reader data is kept after deletion.
Traffic counts and local storage
Traffic is counted only in aggregate, so the desk can see how many visits a page receives without building a profile of an individual reader. Aggregate counts do not identify a person and are not used to target content at a named reader.
Local storage in the browser holds the reader's own preferences, such as a chosen setting on a calculator. That storage sits on the reader's device and can be cleared by the reader at any time through the browser settings.
Affiliate links: how they are marked and what they mean for you
Some links to FxPro on this site are affiliate links, which means we may receive a payment if you open an account after clicking through. That payment does not change what you pay the broker and does not change the spread, commission or swap on your account. The link is there because it funds the site, and it is marked as an affiliate link wherever it appears. We do not accept payment to alter a calculator result or to hide a risk warning. The instrument facts on the page, such as 1 lot = 100 oz and pip = 0.01, are the same whether you click a link or not.
An affiliate link does not give us access to your trading account, your balance or your personal details. The broker knows a visit came from this site, but the trading relationship is between you and FxPro Markets Ltd. We do not receive your name, email, phone number, PAN, Aadhaar or bank details from the broker. Any payment we receive is based on the broker's own reporting of accounts opened, not on your individual trades. You can visit FxPro directly without using our link and the site will work exactly the same.
Following an affiliate link does not commit you to deposit or trade. You can open the broker's site, read its terms, and leave without registering. The affiliate arrangement also does not make this site a broker or an intermediary for your funds; any money you send goes to the broker, not to us. If you are in India, note that FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA — not by SEBI. That caveat applies whether you arrive via our link or directly.
The cookies this site sets and the job each one does
This site sets two kinds of first-party cookies: a preference cookie that remembers your language and cookie-notice choice, and a session cookie that lets the calculators work during a single visit. The preference cookie lasts until you clear it or it expires after a set period; the session cookie disappears when you close the browser. Neither cookie contains your name or any number you typed into a calculator. They exist so the page does not ask you the same question on every visit and so a calculation does not break mid-entry.
Broker cookies are set only after you click through to a broker site, and they are controlled by that broker, not by us. This site does not set affiliate-tracking cookies itself; the tracking that attributes a visit to us happens on the broker's side once you arrive there. That means the choice about those cookies sits with the broker's own consent tools, not with a banner on this page. We do not have the ability to read or change what a broker stores after you leave this site.
This site does not set advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies or cookies that follow you to other websites. There is no third-party ad network running here, and no cookie is placed to build a profile of your browsing for ad targeting. The cookies you will find are functional: they remember a choice or keep a tool working. If your browser blocks all cookies, the calculators will still run for the current visit, but your language and notice preferences will not be remembered the next time you arrive.
What this site stores on your device and what it deliberately does not
This site stores only what is needed to remember your display preferences and to keep the calculators working between visits; it does not store your name, email, phone number or any identity document. A small preference file records your chosen language and whether you have dismissed the cookie notice. Nothing else is written to your device by us. The calculators do not save the numbers you type into them, so a position size or margin figure you calculate is gone when you close the tab. We do not build a profile of you across sessions.
This site does not store the numbers you type into the gold calculators, and it does not keep a record of which instruments or lot sizes you have looked up. The only calculations that persist are the ones you can see on screen for the current visit. If you refresh the page, the fields reset. We do not keep a history of your margin or pip-value workings, and we do not use those inputs to personalise anything you see later. That is a deliberate choice: the calculators are a tool, not a data-collection point.
This site does not store payment details, bank account numbers or UPI IDs, because it never asks for them. Funding a trading account happens on the broker's own site, not here, so any bank or e-wallet details you enter are handled by that broker under its own privacy terms. We also do not store any document you might use to verify an identity with a broker. If you see a field on this site asking for financial information, it is not ours and should be treated with suspicion.
Broker cookies and the reader's own choice
A broker sets its own cookies under its own policy once a reader follows a link to its site. Those cookies are outside the desk's control, and the broker's privacy policy, not this page, governs what they do and how long they last.
The practical point is that the reader's relationship with the broker is separate from the reader's relationship with this desk. Reading a broker's privacy and cookie terms before opening an account is part of the same care as reading its cost terms.
