Contact the Desk

There is one editorial mailbox, [email protected], and it reaches the desk that writes these pages.

What the desk will help with

The mailbox is for editorial matters: a correction, a clarification, a question about how a page was written, or a request to explain a term more clearly. Write to [email protected] and put the page address in the subject line so the right page can be found.

We will also read a note pointing out that a broker's published terms appear to have changed since our dated check. That is useful and helps keep the pages honest, even where it turns out not to be an error.

What the desk will not help with

We cannot help with account problems. We do not have access to any broker account, we cannot reset a password, release a withdrawal or intervene in a dispute, and we cannot recover funds. Those matters belong with the broker and, where relevant, with the regulator that licensed it.

We also do not give personal advice. We cannot tell a reader whether to buy or sell gold, how much to risk, or which account to open. The pages explain mechanics and risks; the decision and its consequences stay with the reader.

What to include with a question about gold pricing or platform use

For a question about gold (XAU/USD) pricing or platform use, send the instrument code, the platform name (MT4, MT5, cTrader or FxPro Edge), and the exact steps you took before the issue appeared. If the question concerns margin, state the lot size and the leverage you are using, because a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 margin at 1:200. Do not send screenshots that show your account number, full name or funding details; crop those out first. A precise description of the order ticket, the time and the symbol is more useful than a general complaint.

For a question about funding with local INR bank transfers, cards or e-wallets, send only the payment method name, the date and the amount in ₹, and the status shown in your account. Do not attach bank statements, card images or e-wallet screenshots that contain personal identifiers. If the payment is delayed, state whether the debit left your bank and whether the broker has marked the deposit as pending. That distinction decides whether the query goes to the payments team or to your bank, and it saves a round trip.

For a question about leverage, state your current leverage setting and whether you have completed the experience and financial assessment. The maximum available to India-based clients is up to 1:200, with up to 1:500 for eligible traders after that assessment, and it is a cap rather than a target. Do not ask us to recommend a leverage level. Send the account type and the platform, and we can explain how margin is calculated for the lot size you plan to trade, using the worked figure above as the reference.

How a correction request is logged, checked and answered

A correction request is logged with the page URL, the exact sentence you believe is wrong, the correction you propose and a source we can check. We do not accept a correction that is only an opinion or a claim without a source. We compare the sentence against the facts we hold, and if the sentence states a number we were not given, such as a spread, commission, swap or minimum deposit, the correction is usually upheld because we are not permitted to state those as numbers.

We reply to every correction request with one of three outcomes: accepted and corrected, accepted in part with an explanation of what changed, or declined with the reason. We do not silently edit a page and leave you guessing. If the correction concerns the regulator caveat, the leverage cap or the instrument specification, we treat it as high priority because those are the facts readers rely on most. We do not publish a correction notice naming the person who sent it.

A correction request is not a route to have a page rewritten to suit a commercial interest. We do not accept requests to add a broker name, a bonus, a promotion or a claim that a cost is competitive, tight or low, because we were not given those figures. If your request falls in that category, it will be declined and the reason will say so. Genuine factual corrections are welcome and are handled without charge.

When to expect a reply and what changes the timing

Expect a first reply within two business days for most messages, and allow longer during Indian public holidays or when a query needs input from a payments or platform team. We do not promise a same-day answer, and we do not operate a live chat for account matters. If your message is complete, the reply is usually a direct answer; if it is missing the instrument, platform or steps, the first reply will be a request for those details, which adds a full round trip.

Timing depends on the kind of question. Platform how-to questions are usually answered from published documentation and are quicker. Funding questions that involve local INR bank transfers, cards or e-wallets take longer because they may need to be checked against payment records. Leverage and margin questions are quick if you include the lot size and current leverage, and slow if you do not. A correction request with a source link is handled on a separate track, described below.

We answer in the order received, except for correction requests that affect factual accuracy, which are pulled forward. We do not offer priority handling for a fee, and we do not take payment for a faster reply. If your matter is urgent because funds are missing, do not wait for this desk: contact the broker's own support channel and your bank or e-wallet provider in parallel, because only they can trace a payment.

Account access, missing funds and personal advice go to these channels instead

We cannot open, close, reset or unlock an account, and we cannot recover funds. Those actions sit with FxPro Markets Ltd. and with your bank or e-wallet provider, not with this desk. If you cannot log in, use the broker's own password-reset and support channels. If a local INR bank transfer, card payment or e-wallet deposit is missing, raise it with the broker's payments team and with your provider at the same time, because only they can trace the transaction. Send us the mechanic question, not the account request.

We cannot give personal trading advice, and we cannot act as your adviser. Questions about whether to trade gold, how much to risk or which leverage to use are outside what we can answer, and we will say so rather than guess. The maximum available in India is up to 1:200, with up to 1:500 for eligible traders after the experience and financial assessment, but that is a cap and not a recommendation. A SEBI-registered adviser is the correct channel for personal advice.

We cannot intervene in a dispute with the broker or influence a support outcome. We can explain what a published term means and how a calculation works, and we can point you to the regulator caveat: FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA, not by SEBI. That caveat matters because it tells you where a complaint can and cannot go. We do not forward complaints, and we do not act as an intermediary. Use the broker's formal complaints route for a dispute.

No guest posts and no paid placement

The desk does not accept guest posts, sponsored reviews or paid placement at any price. There is no rate card, no sponsored slot and no way to buy a mention, a rating or a link on this site.

This is deliberate. The only commercial relationship on the site is the affiliate link, and it does not buy editorial treatment. If a proposal is really a request to pay for coverage, the answer is no regardless of the amount.

The details that make a message answerable on the first reply

A useful message contains four things: the instrument code (XAU/USD), the platform (MT4, MT5, cTrader or FxPro Edge), the exact action you took, and the result you saw. Add the lot size and the leverage setting if margin is involved, because a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 margin at 1:200. Without those four items, the reply can only be a request for them. With them, the reply can be a direct explanation of the mechanic or the next step.

State the question in one sentence before any background. A message that opens with three paragraphs of history and ends with 'so what should I do' is hard to answer, because the actual question is a request for personal advice. Ask instead how a calculation works, where a setting is found, or what a published term means. If you are unsure which category your question falls into, say so and we will tell you whether we can answer it or whether it belongs with a licensed adviser.

Do not send your account number, password, one-time codes, full bank details or card images. We do not need them to answer a factual question, and sending them creates a security risk for you. If a funding query genuinely requires a transaction reference, send only that reference and the amount in ₹, not the underlying bank or wallet credentials. A message that respects these limits is answered faster because it does not need a security caution in reply.

Questions we answer directly and questions that need a licensed adviser

We answer factual questions about how the instrument and the platforms work: what a pip is on gold (0.01), how 1 standard lot equals 100 oz, how margin is calculated at a given leverage, and where to find order types on MT4, MT5, cTrader or FxPro Edge. We also answer questions about the regulator caveat: FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK), CySEC and FSCA, not by SEBI. We do not answer questions that require us to judge whether a trade is suitable for you, because that is personal advice and we are not licensed to give it in India.

We cannot tell you whether to buy or sell gold, where to place a stop, how much of your ₹ capital to allocate, or which leverage setting suits your circumstances. Those decisions depend on your income, debts, experience and tolerance for loss, and only a SEBI-registered investment adviser can give personal advice on Indian securities and products. We can explain the mechanics and the risks in plain terms, but the choice remains yours. If your message asks for a recommendation, expect a reply that points you to the mechanics instead.

We can confirm what the published terms say and how a calculation works, but we cannot confirm that a specific outcome will occur. Gold trading is high-risk and losses can exceed your initial margin, so any answer we give is explanatory, not predictive. We will not validate a strategy, a signal service or a return expectation. If you need someone to take responsibility for a trading decision, that person must be a licensed adviser who knows your full financial position, not a contact desk.

FAQ

Common questions

How do I reach the Mysore Paper desk?

Use the contact form on this page or the email address listed there, and include the page URL and the specific sentence you are asking about. That lets us find the passage quickly instead of guessing. We read everything, but replies are handled by a small editorial team, so allow a reasonable window before following up on the same query.

Can the desk tell me whether to buy or sell gold right now?

No. Mysore Paper does not give trading signals, entry or exit levels, or personal recommendations on gold, and we are not a licensed adviser. What we can do is explain mechanics: how lot size, pip value and margin work on XAU/USD, and how to use the position size, pip value, margin, profit and pivot point calculators. The decision and the risk remain yours.

Will the desk help me open an account or resolve a broker dispute?

No. We are a publishing desk, not a broker and not an intermediary, so we cannot open accounts, verify your identity, process deposits or intervene in a dispute with FxPro or any other firm. For account, funding or complaint issues, contact the broker directly through its own support channels. We can only help with questions about what our pages say.

Can I ask the desk to review my trading strategy or my losses?

We cannot review a personal strategy or advise on recovering losses, because that would be personal advice and we are not authorised for it. If you are dealing with significant losses, speak to a qualified financial adviser who can see your full position. What we can clarify is how a calculation works, for example why a 0.10-lot gold position carries the margin it does.

How long does a reply from the desk usually take?

There is no fixed turnaround, and we would rather not promise one we cannot keep. Messages that name a specific page and quote the sentence in question are answered fastest, because they need less back-and-forth. General questions about gold mechanics may get a short pointer to the relevant calculator or explainer page instead of a long written reply.
