FAQ

Common questions

Which calculator tells me how large my gold position should be?

The position size calculator. It takes your account balance, the percentage you are willing to risk, your entry and your stop distance, then returns a lot size for XAU/USD. Because 1 standard lot is 100 oz, the output is usually a small fraction of a lot, which is normal for gold.

How do I convert a gold price move into rupees using these tools?

The profit calculator does the conversion. You enter entry and exit prices plus lot size, and it returns the result in the account currency, which you then read against the rupee. Remember one pip on XAU/USD is 0.01, so a move from 4275.0 to 4276.0 is 100 pips. The pip value calculator shows what one pip is worth at your size.

How much margin does a small gold trade need?

The margin calculator answers this directly. At 1:200, a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 margin, and the tool scales that with lot size and the leverage cap in force. Treat the result as capital locked, not capital at risk, and keep free margin well above it.

What does the pivot points tool do that the others do not?

It maps reference levels for the session from the prior period's high, low and close, giving you pivot, support and resistance lines. Traders use them to place stops and targets rather than to predict direction. Pair the output with the position size calculator so a stop at a pivot line still fits your risk budget.

Do these calculators place trades or connect to my broker account?

No. Every tool on this page is a plain calculation you run yourself; nothing links to a broker, an account or an order ticket. You read the output and decide. That also means the numbers are only as good as the inputs, so use the price you actually see on your platform.
